This test suite uses artificial brick textures generated by "cutting" bricks from a random background texture and separating them by mortar. The background textures are generated by "bombing" a blank image with gaussian blobs of various elongations and orientations. These images exhibit macrotextures enabling algorithms favouring coarse detail to be measured.
The images are generated by the makeBrick program
with no background elongation, constant background rotations but
varying horizontal and vertical directions of the mortar. The first
two tests vary the dimensions about mean of x6y6 while the remaining
three tests vary the dimensions about a mean of x10y10.
